Brendan Aylward
Unified is owned and operated by Brendan Aylward. Brendan began his career in strength and conditioning during his time in college, working with the Nashoba basketball and hockey programs as well as providing at-home fitness services for a handful of individuals with various disabilities. In 2014, he became the youngest ever to coach for Team Massachusetts at the Special Olympics USA Games and has been a resource for Special Olympics on improving fitness in their athletes over the years.
Brendan takes great pride in racing for Team Hoyt New England with his friend, Jacob. Together they have completed nearly 100 races together, ranging from 5Ks to marathons. Their personal bests include a 17:03 5K, 1:22:34 Half Marathon, and 2:55:10 marathon. Rick and Dick Hoyt have been a major influence on Brendan’s career path and his aspirations to do for the fitness industry what the Hoyts have done for the world of endurance sports and inclusion at large.
Brendan has presented dozens of times at conferences, universities, and to ERGs. He is a part of a research team with several poster presentations and publications on Cerebral Palsy.
